Typeface
IRL to URL: knitting a custom typeface for Uniqode.
Uniqode, formerly Beaconstac, needed a new identity to stand out in a crowded QR code market and reflect its enterprise-ready product. Studio Koto repositioned the brand around its role as a bridge between physical and digital experiences, from IRL to URL and back again.
At the core of the identity is Uniqode Sans, a custom typeface we designed to stitch individual points into a connected canvas. Its design reflects a system of threads and nodes, echoed across patterns, motifs, and iconography. The custom typeface contributes to a visual language that feels bold and enterprise-grade, while remaining crafted and human. Used consistently across dashboards, campaigns, and sales materials, it helps create a clear and connected experience across all touchpoints.
